The Griswolds (by Katie Lile)
Wilderness Politics Tour
Orlando, FL
November 7th, 2015

——————————

With a stacked line-up, the Wilderness Politics Tour created an environment for fans of all music genres. Lolo, having performed first, warmed up the crowd with her pristine vocals, and, amidst the stage change, everyone anticipated The Griswolds’ soon-to-be-upbeat performance.

The lights went out and the crowd roared. Suddenly, the lights flashed back on and bounced all around the room, all while the band flowed onto the stage. There to perform a seven song, energy-packed setlist, the band set the crowd wild by opening up with their song, “Right on Track”. With sharp vocals, perfect guitar riffs and drums that were right on beat, they went straight into their second track, with major crowd interaction beginning. Jumping off instruments and speakers with the hopes of getting into the crowd, vocalist Chris Whitehall proved to be very good at making memories with his fans.

To cool things down, The Griswolds performed a stripped down, unique cover of Vance Joy’s “Riptide”. Voices echoed, cheers rang and faces smiled all throughout the set.

Second-to-last, the band played their current hit, “Beware The Dog”, which was quick to get the audience off their feet. The crowd was creating a wave of motion, even though the venue was packed like sardines, creating a joyful, vibrant and lively time for everyone.

Overall, The Griswolds were one of the most interactive and enjoyable bands I have ever photographed, and their performance was very special to many.
