Kevin Lyman Confirms No Age Limit for Warped 2016

In an interview with The Gunz Show, Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman has confirmed that there will be no age limit put in place for 2016. This means that both bands and fans under the age of 21 will be able to attend, a fear that emerged last month after Lyman spoke to The Stranger. You can listen to the interview here.
“Well… it’s been an interesting summer for the Warped Tour. Still one of the more important festivals for our “scene” that has been an important staple in building the community to what it has become… it faced some controversy this past year. To deny that would be to lie to my audience, and I refuse to do that to you.
So I spoke with the founder / creator Kevin Lyman on The Gunz Show; primarily to talk about the Taste of Chaos upcoming show(s) and the ridiculously ballin lineup that it includes…
But I had to bring up Warped Tour, as a credit to myself as a journalist / commentator, and to also you the audience. I didn’t grill him…. there was no point to.
What I thought would be 1 or 2 questions about Warped, turned into a very insightful and interesting conversation; where Kevin shares a lot of opinions and insights, as well as says he needs to – we all need to, learn more as well about the world we live in and society and people.
Give the interview a listen with an open mind. I’m proud of this one.
And yes, Warped is open to bands and people under 21…
The Warped stuff starts at 10:20 into the interview, but I urge you to listen to the whole entire thing.
xx ballers,
– Gunz”
