10 Bands to See at Vans Warped Tour 2015

This summer’s Vans Warped Tour kicked off last week in Pomona, California and already thousands of music fans have graced numerous parking lots and fields to mosh with and sing along to their favourite bands. This year’s tour features a wide variety of bands and styles, enough to satisfy even the pickiest of fans.
With nearly 100 bands on the tour, it can be difficult to decide who to see, so we here at Legendary Kids Press have compiled a list of 10 bands we feel are a must watch. Trust us, you won’t want to miss their sets.
10. As It Is (Journeys Right Foot Stage, all summer)

British pop-punk is alive and well on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour (as well as on this list, as you’ll eventually find out) and Brighton’s As It Is are a prime example as to why. Having signed to Fearless Records late last year for the release of their debut album, Never Happy, Ever After, the band have rapidly grown in popularity within the scene. Their energetic sound and stage presence is sure to see them having one of the tour’s wildest crowds, so why on earth would you miss them?!
Vocalists Patty Walters and Ben Biss will also be holding Tei workshops throughout the summer.
9. Mallory Knox (Monster Energy Stage, all summer)

The British invasion continues with alt-rockers Mallory Knox. Most probably know the quintet from this past year’s Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens World Tour, where the band opened up for both North American legs, but for those of you who haven’t heard of them, we’ll keep it short and sweet: infectious, powerful and melodic alt-rock at its best.
8. Man Overboard (Unicorn Stage, all summer)

You can’t have a list about Warped Tour without including New Jersey pop-punks, Man Overboard. Easily one of the biggest bands currently in the genre, Man Overboard are a must-see simply because their melodic and raw sound is something that can’t be missed. It’s great to see them playing main stage all summer and we can’t think of a band more deserving of the privilege than them.
The band will also be holding Tei workshops throughout the summer.
7. Senses Fail (Monster Energy Stage, all summer)

Honestly, do we even need to explain why Senses Fail are a must-see this summer? With the release of their new album, Pull The Thorns From Your Heart, on the horizon, the band are sure to put on a power-packed set of both new tracks and fan favourites. Vocalist Buddy Nielsen is back and better than ever, and the band overall is definitely going to show why they’ve been scene staples for so long. If we had our way, they’d be playing main stage, but hey, we don’t decide those things.
6. Hands Like Houses (Journeys Right Foot Stage, all summer)

Hands Like Houses are making their second appearance on the Vans Warped Tour this summer and we feel they’re definitely a band music fans need to see. With the release of their new single, “I Am”, earlier this year showing the band is stronger than ever, it can be guaranteed the Australian quintet will be putting on a set filled with their unique energy and sound.
As someone who’s seen the band twice (once during Warped 2013 and once in a small venue), I can say from experience that Hands Like Houses are one of the best live bands in the scene today. Do not miss them.
Vocalist Trenton Woodley and drummer Matt Markitny will also be holding Tei workshops throughout the summer.
5. Moose Blood (Journeys Left Foot Stage/Acoustic Basement, all summer)

Continuing Britain’s Warped Tour invasion is Moose Blood, easily one of the most hyped bands on this summer’s line-up. Honestly, if you haven’t heard of these guys we suggest you stop reading this list, open Spotify and give them a listen. We promise you’ll thank us for gracing your ears with the band’s unique blend of emo and pop-punk.
Personally, there are few bands these days that I get super excited about and Moose Blood are one of them. As a band who have a strong underground following both back home and abroad, it’s only a matter of time until they break onto the scene and make their mark. Who knows, Warped just might allow them to do so.
4. Pierce The Veil (Unicorn Stage, all summer)

Warped Tour vets Pierce The Veil are back on the tour this summer for the first time since 2012. With a new track - “The Divine Zero” - and a new album set for release sometime in the future, this California four-piece are without a doubt one of the biggest (if not the biggest) bands on this year’s line-up. Their fanbase has grown tenfold over the past few years, so it can be guaranteed their crowds will be some of the craziest seen all summer. Are you prepared?
3. Asking Alexandria (Shark Stage, June 23rd-August 8th)

There are many reasons why we think you should check out Asking Alexandria’s set this summer and many of them revolve around the fact that the band are sporting a new vocalist: former Make Me Famous frontman Denis Shaforostov. Shaforostov has some pretty big shoes to fill and what better way to show what he’s got than to spend all summer on music’s most gruelling tour? Asking are known for their crazy and wild sets and it can be guaranteed that they’ll be bringing the energy over the next two months.
It’s their first time on the tour since 2011, so it’ll be interesting to see what they’ll bring to the table.
2. Knuckle Puck (Hard Rock Kevin Says Stage, all summer)

Knuckle Puck are without a doubt the pop-punk scene’s shining new stars. Having signed to Rise Records late last year, the band have quickly become a fan favourite. With some claiming the band are reviving pop-punk, it’ll be interesting to see what the future has in store for them. What we know for certain is they are destined for great things, so why not catch them on Warped? You don’t want to be one of those listeners five years down the road kicking yourself for having slept on these guys.
1. PVRIS (Journeys Left Foot Stage/Acoustic Basement, all summer)

Topping our list of bands to see this summer is PVRIS, the Massachusetts three-piece who have seemingly come out of nowhere to become one of the rock scene’s most promising acts. With the release of their debut album, White Noise, under their belts and swarms of rabid fans, these guys are sure to put on one hell of a show on the Journeys Left Foot Stage. Vocalist Lynn Gunn is a badass who can hit the craziest of notes and it can be assured that she, along with guitarist Alex Babinski and bassist Brian MacDonald, will be bringing the energy (and the eerie).
Alex will also be holding Tei workshops throughout the summer.
