LKP’s One to Watch: The Press War

The Press War are a pop-punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. Since their formation in 2012, this northeast trio have gone through a lot and they’re determined to show the music world why their music deserves a listen.
The Press War came together after the band’s original members, all of whom worked at the same music store, decided to try their hand at creating music. After writing an EP’s worth of material, they released 2013′s New Again. A five-song release filled to the brim with melodic and catchy pop-punk, it launched the band into the sights of many and allowed them to begin growing a dedicated fan base.
In 2014, The Press War began work on their debut full-length, When It All Goes To Hell. Unfortunately, the band lost a couple of members during the process, resulting in an almost complete re-recording of the tracks they’d already finished. However, despite the setback, The Press War were able to create what they believe to be their strongest release to date, one built on growth and resilience.
The band are currently looking to release When It All Goes To Hell sometime within the near future. Their new single, “I’m So Bored With Us”, recently premiered through Glamour Kills and sees the band moving in a direction that sees them becoming one of the pop-punk scene’s most promising rising stars. Be sure to check them out and give their music a listen. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
You can find The Press War on Facebook and Twitter, and be sure to check out their music over on Bandcamp.
