The Blackout Launch Kickstarter for Live DVD

image

Last night, The Blackout launched a Kickstarter campaign to help raise money for their upcoming live DVD and the band have already smashed their original target of £11,500, with the campaign is still going strong. If you’d like to donate, you can do so HERE, and you can read a statement from them below.

“I know we’ve only just done a kickstarter for Wolves E.P. which we’re eternally grateful for, but at the moment this is the only way we can get this made. This is something you’ve always asked us to do and since the end of the band is nigh, it’s seems like not only the perfect time to do it, but the perfect way to end it.

The DVD will feature a documentary using footage and photos that we shot ourselves going back to 2005 along with interviews and footage from the final tour. It’s going to follow the ups and downs, the albums and tours that have got The Blackout to where we are today. We’ve got 100s of hours footage and thousands of images that has never seen the light of day so it’s going to be something special.

Along with the documentary will be the full set from the last show in Merthyr Tydfil. You guys have always asked about a live DVD and we’ve waited to the last minute to do one. Merthyr is going to be something special so we wanted everyone to be able to at least see it.

Other footage like music videos, behind the scenes and more will also be stuffed in there if we can make it fit along with a digital audio download of the show.

There are going to be some special things up to pledge for like our old backdrops, demos that have never been released as well as some special surprises that will hopefully be added.

It all goes live Monday 23rd Feb 2015 at 6pm. Make sure you’re around to grab some cool stuff.

We’d appreciate your support to get this made and end things with a something we can all remember.

See you in the pit.

The Blackout”
