London, Ontario has a large and thriving music scene. On any given night, one can easily find shows by bands ranging from metal to pop to pretty much everything in between. As a result, the city has a few up-and-coming record labels, with the newest being 27 Studios.
Born out of the mind of Music Industry Arts student Tyler Philips, 27 Studios began in October 2013. Joined shortly after by fellow MIA students Clara Gomes (The Truth Today) and Mitchell McCloy (Stained Glass Army), the label aims to bring semi-professional music engineers together with up-and-coming artists.

It’s official: Pierce The Veil’s song “King For A Day” has gone gold in the United States, having sold more than 500,000 copies. In case you can’t remember, it features Sleeping With Sirens’ Kellin Quinn and was literally everyone’s soundtrack during summer 2012.
