If you’ve ever listened to music by Glass Animals, you could probably guess the type of concert experience you’d have at one of their shows. On June 3rd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I attended their concert at the Riverside Theater, the perfect seated/general admission venues for this particular show. Although my reason for being there wasn’t the greatest - procrastinating studying for exams - I couldn’t have been happier with my decision to attend one of the most unique concerts I’ve been to.
Shortly after the opener got off stage (no one sitting by me seemed to know their name. Later, I figured out it was Gilligan Moss), Glass Animals took the stage and blew away the crowd not only with their music, but with their set as well. Complete with fog and rather trippy lighting, it served as the perfect accompaniment to the music.

Slaves have announced they’ll be releasing their new album, Routine Breathing, later this year. You can view the track listing below, which features guest appearances from Spencer Chamberlin, Garret Rapp and more.

Californian quartet Pierce The Veil are back with the release of their new single, “The Divine Zero”. A teaser of their yet-to-be-announced album, “The Divine Zero” has made its stage debut on the band’s Vans Warped Tour set list. It’s the first taste fans have of new music, as the band haven’t released new material since 2012′s Collide With The Sky, which saw them tour extensively with such artists as Sleeping With Sirens, Beartooth and Issues.
“The Divine Zero” starts off slow until around seven seconds in, when guitar riffs and heavy drum patterns are introduced. These progress throughout the track. The song’s rhythm can be perceived as a mix between “Hell Above”, “I Don’t Care If You’re Contagious”, “Bulls In The Bronx” and “Disasterology”. Toward the middle, there is a breakdown around vocalist Vic Fuentes’ backing screams that allows drummer Mike Fuentes, guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado to do their thing.

In Hearts Wake are a metalcore band from Byron Bay, Australia. Having released their new album, Skydancer, this past May, the Aussie quartet are set to have a big year of touring ahead of them in support of the record, and Legendary Kids Press was recently able to speak with guitarist Ben Nairne about the album and the band’s upcoming plans.
What made you want to get involved in music?
I started playing guitar when I was five-years-old. My dad would teach me songs and we would play them together. I’ve just always gotten so much enjoyment our of playing music and still get just [as] excited to play as I did back then.
You guys are easily one of Australia’s fasting-rising heavy acts. What do you attribute to this?
Well, we have been a band since 2006 and have been fine-tuning everything ever since. We worked really hard all those years and it’s really starting to pay off with all of the people [who] are supporting us now.
