
Last summer, there was an idea floating around regarding moving the global album release day from Tuesday to Friday. Billboard is reporting that the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) performed a study and found that consumers preferred to hear music on Friday and Saturday, compared to the current date.
